This clip emphasises and illustrates the 'both-ways' philosophy to training of ATSIWHs which joins up traditional knowledge with Western medical practices. It shows the functioning of an Institute dedicated to tertiary education for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and providing a flexible learning environment for adults of varying backgrounds and experience. It shows classes in clinical skills and preparation for front-line emergency intervention.
